Description:
This is a renewable non-tenured position with an initial one-year appointment beginning August 2023.

Principal responsibilities include:

  • Teaching counseling related courses and/or related topics with specific emphasis on LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy and/or school counseling, diversity, addiction/substance abuse, research, statistics

  • Academic (individual and group) advising

  • Clinical Supervision of students

  • Service to the department to support program projects and events

  • Service to the School and University



    Qualifications:
    Required qualifications include:

    A doctoral degree in counseling or counselor education (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) from a CACREP-accredited program

    Teaching experience in counseling related courses and/or related topics with specific emphasis on LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, addiction/substance abuse, research, statistics, school counseling, and/or diversity

    Demonstrated identity as a counselor educator and clinician

    Clinical experience in the field

    Preferred qualifications:

    LPC and/or LMFT

    Clinical supervisory experience and/or supervisory credential

    LGBTQ+ counseling experience

    School counseling experience

    Addiction/substance abuse experience

    Clinical counseling experience

    Experience in supervision/management of a clinic

    One to three years teaching experience
