Min T/E Requirements:
Applicants to teach core and specialty area courses must have a Ph.D. in Counselor Education or a related degree with a clear counselor professional identity and licensure. Applicants with a master's degree in counseling, independent supervisory counseling licensure, significant clinical experience, and formal education in counseling supervision will be considered for teaching practicum and internship field placement courses. All degrees must come from regionally accredited institutions; CACREP accredited degree programs are strongly preferred. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an ability to successfully structure and implement distance-education based courses and blended learning hybrid courses.

Job Description:
The Department of Counseling has need for part-time or adjunct faculty to teach courses in core and specialty areas for Professional School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
We invite applications to be submitted for potential openings.
These positions are especially suited for potential faculty who possess a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision and independent licensure in the state of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and/or Licensed School Counselor. Excellence in teaching and learning conducted within a rigorous and stimulating environment is an important core value of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
The Department of Counseling offers two CACREP accredited degrees in counseling: Professional School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. The Department has a strong commitment to graduate education and national standards of counselor education, and was awarded the 2013 National Board of Certified Counselors Professional Identity Award.
